Rev. Trevor Crenshaw

Meet our Pastor

Pastor Trevor Crenshaw has lived in Florence, AL, for fifty-three years. He is married to the former Ms. Tijuana (Tia) Thompson for the past 31 years. They have three wonderful and lovely children: Derrion, Tamara, and Trevor. They also have three grandsons, Kruz, Kinji, and Quade, and two granddaughters, Samiyah and Iyana. 


In 1988 Pastor Crenshaw graduated from Coffee High School (Now Florence Middle School) in Florence, AL. Upon graduating, he served in the Alabama National Guard and received an Honorable Discharge due to illness. In 1992, he acknowledged his call to the gospel ministry and was licensed to preach the Gospel. He worked dutifully at the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church (Trinity). He served as Sunday School Superintendent and Sunday School Teacher and obediently oversaw worship service while Trinity was without a pastor. Afterward, he was called to the pastoral ministry. He began to shepherd God’s people after his ordination at the Petersville Missionary Baptist Church in 1996. From 1996-2005, he served faithfully as the proud pastor of the Petersville Missionary Baptist Church. Also, before taking a sabbatical, he served as interim pastor of Holy Sanctuary Temple of God in Florence, Alabama, from September to December 2005. Presently, he serves as the proud pastor of Trinity in Florence, AL.

During Pastor Trevor Crenshaw’s journey for his Jesus Christ, Lord and Savior, he has attained many honorary accomplishments such as attending Birmingham Baptist College and graduating from American Baptist College - Nashville, TN, receiving a BA Degree in Biblical Studies with the honor of Suma cum Laude Class of 2001. He also received honorary recognition from the National Dean’s List and Who’s Who Among Students In American Universities & Colleges. He had the privilege of attending the Beeson School of Divinity in Birmingham, AL, in the fall of 2003 until he had to withdraw due to family and schedule concerns. 2010, he earned a Master of Arts Degree from Selma University in Selma, AL. He completed the Master of Divinity Degree course requirements from Luther Rice College and Seminary in Lithonia, GA. on August 15, 2018. August 15, 2019, he was admitted into the Capital Seminary and Graduate School’s Doctor of Philosophy in Leadership Program in Lancaster, PA. He has completed three years of his doctoral studies.
Pastor Crenshaw has also had the privilege of serving as a member of SAC (Superintendents Advisory Committee), SAMP (Shoals Area Marriage Policy), and as the President of the Lauderdale County Head Start Policy Council. He is the Diversity and Cultural Awareness Trainer for the Florence City Police Department.    

God has blessed and enabled Pastor Crenshaw to utilize his teaching and preaching skills on the district and state levels. He is an adjunct professor at Huntsville Bible College in Huntsville, AL. He has taught Pastoral Care (Online and Campus), Ephesians (Online and Campus), Spiritual Formation (Campus), Homiletics (Online and Campus), Techniques for Teaching Sunday School (Online and Campus), Church Administration (Online and Campus), Christian Doctrine (Online and Tri-cities Location), Church History (Online and Tri-cities Location), and Evangelism (Online and Tri-cities Location), Hebrews (Online), Church History (Campus), Corinthian Correspondence (Online), Family Life Christian Education (Online), Educational Ministries of the Church (Online), Christian Education of Youth (Online), Multi-Cultural Christian Education (Online), Christian Ethics (Online), Prison Epistles (Online), Old Testament Poetry (Online), Biblical Interpretation (Online), and Daniel (Online), Minor Prophets (Online), Contemporary Christian Thought (Online. For the 2024 Fall Semester, he is teaching the following course: Hebrews (Online). From 2020-2022, he served as Dean of Distance Education for Huntsville Bible College.

Pastor Crenshaw had the privilege of teaching for African Renewal University's Master of Arts in Theology (MATS) Program in Kampala, Uganda, through Zoom technology. For the Spring of 2023, he taught MATS 1203 Biblical Theology. For the Fall of 2023, he co-taught Biblical Preaching with Pastor David Musooli (MATS Program Director). For the Spring 2024 Semester, he co-taught MATS 5102 Biblical Theology. Pastor Crenshaw has taught students from the following African countries: Uganda, Nigeria, DRC, Sudan, Kenya, and Ghana.

Pastor Crenshaw has a passion for writing. He published his first book, Leading With Consistency: Four Steps To Leadership Consistency, in December 2018. The book is available on www.Amazon.com in printed and Kindle formats.
